SEHA kidney Care aims to provide a comprehensive integrated renal services across the SEHA health system, providing the highest quality of care to our patients wherever they may be in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.

This includes acute and chronic kidney care services  to in-patients and out-patients in hospitals or clinics, transplantation services, peritoneal and haemodialysis care and advice in super specialist clinics on key aspects of renal disease.

We recognize that the journey through renal disease with all its complications is often a long one,  and requires a coordinated and holistic approach to care. We will often not simply offer a single solution, and we understand that care may involve coordination of multiple teams to ensure the best outcomes.

The unique proposition of SKC is that we offer care throughout the healthcare infrastructure, which can be otherwise difficult for patients to navigate. We will prioritize transplantation for all patients who could benefit from this therapy in cases where dialysis is the only other option, and have a range of other services including peritoneal and other home dialysis options. We are also focused on prevention or renal disease and slowing of progressive chronic kidney disease. We operate here in partnership with our colleagues in SEHA Ambulatory Health services  and offer key prevention strategies to prevent or slow renal decline.
