At SKC we believe that patients are at the center of all that we do, and we are firmly focused on our shared vision and mission to provide ethical, affordable, accessible, and importantly high-quality kidney care services in the region. This includes acute and chronic kidney care services to in-patients and out-patients in hospitals or clinics, transplantation services, peritoneal and haemodialysis care and advice in super specialist clinics on key aspects of renal disease.
We seek to respond to the diverse needs of the community that we serve and understand that our patients’ desire for world-class healthcare services through continuous improvement, research and innovation in medicine.
We are committed to commissioning and management of state-of-the-art kidney care centers, using the best technological equipment available, along with highly skilled, knowledgeable and up-to-date teams of health professionals.
We aim to exceed our patients’ expectations, with empathy and compassion as a priority. We expect the provision of a high standard of excellence in all that we do. We have a strong emphasis on developing our staff to provide a super-specialist nephrology where we will have access to the best medical opinion world-wide.
We recognize that the journey through renal disease with all its complications is often a long one, and requires a coordinated and holistic approach to care. We will often not simply offer a single solution, and we understand that care may involve coordination of multiple teams to ensure the best outcomes.
The unique proposition of SKC is that we offer care throughout the healthcare infrastructure, which can be otherwise difficult for patients to navigate. We will prioritize transplantation for all patients who could benefit from this therapy in cases where dialysis is the only other option, and have a range of other services including peritoneal and other home dialysis options. We are also focused on prevention or renal disease and slowing of progressive chronic kidney disease. We operate here in partnership with our colleagues in SEHA Ambulatory Health services and offer key prevention strategies to prevent or slow renal decline.
We hope to have the opportunity to help provide renal services to meet your needs whenever you need us.
