Prof Stephen (Steve) Holt became Professor-Director and CEO of SEHA Kidney Care (SKC) Abu Dhabi, UAE in 2020. He was also appointed as Adjunct Professor at Khalifa University.
Steve moved to Australia in 2010 where he was Director of Nephrology at The Royal Melbourne Hospital (RMH) and Professor of Medicine at The University of Melbourne.
Previously he led renal clinical care, basic and translational science at Brighton and Sussex University Hospitals and and renal teaching at the University of Sussex, UK 2001 to 2010.
Steve has international expertise in dialysis therapies, mineral biochemistry, transplantation and vascular pathology, with clinical and research interests in dialysis, hypertension, infection, Fabry disease, tuberous sclerosis and bone problems.
During the last 20 years he has established clinical and laboratory research in both the UK, Australia and now Abu Dhabi. He has numerous publications in high impact journals, and a strong interest in clinical information technology, electronic and expert systems.
As a Primary and Chief Investigator on a large number of local, national and international studies and drug trials, he has an impressive clinical research background and remains research active.
He has co-authored many national/international guidelines, and been on the organising committee and speaker at numerous international/national conferences.
Steve enjoys teaching and regularly teaches at Khalifa University and has supervised many trainees to higher degrees in the UK and Australia.
Dr Ayman joined SEHA in 2003 and became SKC’s Deputy CEO in 2018.
Dr Ayman is a Board Certified in Internal Medicine and a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons Canada (RCPSC) since 2011 and was certified as an Adult Nephrologist by RCPSC in 2013. He holds a Masters in Health Care Administration from Zayed University in 2017.
He is trained in Dialysis (Renal Replacement Therapies) including Conventional Hemodialysis, In-Centre Nocturnal Dialysis, Home Hemodialysis and Peritoneal Dialysis.
Dr. Marie Kim graduated from Pensacola State College and University of Phoenix with a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing, from University of Phoenix with a Master’s of Science in Nursing, and from Case Western Reserve University’s Francis Payne Bolton School Nursing with a Doctorate of Nursing Practice. She holds both Nurse-Executive Board Certification and Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality. Prior to joining SEHA Kidney Care in 2019, she has worked in nursing leadership and quality roles in the United States and Abu Dhabi.
Faisal holds a master’s in business administration from the Canadian University and a bachelor’s in civil engineering from the United Arab Emirates University. He has also worked for the Armed Forces, the Abu Dhabi Housing Center and the Executive Council of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and has more than 20 years of experience.
Dexie is a highly motivated leader with more than 20 years of experience in acute and chronic renal care setting. She has been in the senior leadership role since 2009. She completed her Masters in Renal Nursing in De Montford University UK.
Allam earned his diploma in nursing in 1995 and a bachelors in nursing sciences in 1998. In 2006, he completed his master degree in public health, and in 2016 he earned a master of science in Renal Nursing.
He started his nursing career in 1995 and moved to the UAE in 2006.
Annie is the Unit Manager of Seha Kidney Care Central. She has been a nurse for 26 years, with 21 years spent in the field of renal nursing in both the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirates. She has previously worked as a staff nurse in King Faisal Hospital in Taif, K.S.A and Al Rahba Hospital as a staff and charge nurse before finally working in SDS in 2012.
She has acquired her MSc in Renal Nursing from De Montfort University, United Kingdom in 2017 and her Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Notre Dame of Dadiangas College in General Santos City, Philippines.
