Kidney Transplants in the UAE

SKC prioritises transplantation and SEHA has performed the largest number of kidney transplants in the UAE having Quadrupled the rate of transplantation. Now with around half of these coming from deceased donors. There is no reason for any patient in the UAE to persue tranplantation abroad.

In 2024 SKC transferred all tranplantation to found the tranplant instiutute based at SKC-AD and SKMC and led by Dr Mohammed Alsieari.
